Marion, IA – This week, the National Federation of Independent Business endorsed Ashley Hinson for U.S. Senate for her work delivering tax relief for small businesses, eliminating taxes on tips and overtime for Iowa workers, and promoting pro-growth economic policies.
Hinson’s liberal opponent, Josh Turek, says his first priority would be to repeal this tax relief for small businesses and family farms. He even supports a 50% tax rate on nearly every small business and family farm in Iowa.
“I’m proud to earn the endorsement of NFIB for my record of supporting Iowa small businesses and family farms,” said Ashley Hinson. “We’ve delivered historic tax relief and cut burdensome red tape, but there is much more work to do to lower costs and make life more affordable. In the Senate, I’ll ensure that we make the working families tax cuts permanent – including no tax on tips and overtime for Iowa workers – and reduce the cost of housing and childcare to support strong Iowa families. My liberal opponent, Josh Turek, supports a 50% tax rate on small businesses and family farms, which would put them out of business. While Josh would raise taxes on small businesses and family farms, I’ll continue to work across the aisle to deliver for our main streets and rural communities.”
“Iowa small businesses are the backbone of our state’s economy,” said Cody Carlson, NFIB Iowa State Director. “NFIB is proud to endorse candidates who have demonstrated a steadfast commitment to advancing Main Street interests. We are eager to continue our work with these leaders to ensure that Iowa remains a place where small businesses can thrive.”
