Urbandale, IA – Today, the National Border Patrol Council endorsed Ashley Hinson for U.S. Senate, citing her work to ensure border patrol agents have the resources and support they need to keep the border secure, deport dangerous criminals, and stop the flow of deadly drugs into the United States.

In last week’s debate, Josh Turek reaffirmed that he would defund immigration enforcement and border patrol agents.

“I’m honored to be endorsed by the National Border Patrol Council and appreciate the sacrifices that our border patrol agents make to keep our country safe and secure,” said Ashley Hinson. “Josh Turek would vote with Chuck Schumer to defund immigration enforcement, reopen our border, let deadly drugs flood our communities, and grant mass amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants. He has voted to give taxpayer-funded benefits to illegal immigrants, called immigration enforcement ‘un-American,’ and even advised illegal immigrants on how to evade detention in his official newsletter. • Deliver historic resources to fully fund immigration enforcement through fiscal year 2028, ensuring that border patrol agents had the support they needed to enforce our nation’s laws and detain dangerous criminals;
• Pass the HALT Fentanyl Act, which was signed into law, to help law enforcement remove deadly drugs, like fentanyl, from Iowa communities;
• Secure historic pay raises for border patrol agents.

Josh Turek is a liberal on border security and has:
