Marion, IA – Ashley Hinson launched a new ad for the general election today, “Squeezed.” The ad is set to air on broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms across Iowa.
“Prices are up everywhere, and families are getting squeezed. I’m working with both parties to put the squeeze on Big Pharma and Big Health Insurance companies to bring down premiums and drug prices. We eliminated taxes on tips and overtime, and we cut taxes on Social Security. But there is so much more work to do, and I’ll be a bipartisan fighter to lower costs and make life more affordable for Iowans.”
Hinson’s work to lower costs for Iowans:
- Introduced the Health Insurance Transparency for Patients Act to lower healthcare costs and promote quality of care through increased transparency and accountability.
- Supported legislation allowing up to 4 million more Americans to be eligible for health savings accounts (HSAs), helping individuals and families save money for medical needs.
- Introduced bipartisan legislation to allow families to save tax-free for a down payment on a home, and championed the effort to ban institutional investors from buying up single-family homes.
- Eliminated taxes on tips and overtime and cut taxes on Social Security.
- Expanded the Child Tax Credit and made it permanent.
- Championed policies in the Working Families Tax Cuts to make childcare more affordable and accessible for Iowa families.
- Co-led the Child Care Modernization Act, which would improve the Child Care Development Block Grant and expand access to quality, affordable childcare.
- Secured a prosperous future for the next generation with $1,000 Trump Accounts for children born between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2028.
