Marion, IA – Ashley Hinson launched a new ad for the general election today, “Aisle.” The ad is set to air on broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms across Iowa.
“It used to be that reaching across the aisle wasn’t just okay, it was expected. Some people in Washington forgot that. I never have. That’s why I worked with Democrats to expand mental healthcare for veterans and with President Trump to take on big health insurance companies to lower your costs. Working across the aisle isn’t always easy, but it’s how you get results.”
No matter who is in office or who holds the majority, Ashley has been an effective, bipartisan leader for Iowans:
- Led the bipartisan Sergeant Ketchum Rural Veterans’ Mental Health Act – which was signed into law by President Biden – to ensure veterans in rural Iowa have access to the high-quality mental healthcare they deserve.
- Led the bipartisan Maternal and Child Health Stillbirth Prevention Act – which was signed into law by President Biden – to promote healthy moms and healthy babies and help prevent stillbirths.
- Delivered millions in federal funding for local infrastructure, water quality, and childcare projects.
- Introduced the Health Insurance Transparency for Patients Act, legislation to hold Big Health Insurance companies accountable for denying or delaying basic care for patients to protect their bottom line.
- Introduced bipartisan legislation to ensure parents don’t receive surprise medical bills for their newborns.
- Secured bipartisan House passage of year-round E-15 and a new Farm Bill.
- Introduced bipartisan legislation to allow families to save tax-free for a down payment on a home.
- Co-led the Child Care Modernization Act, which would improve the Child Care Development Block Grant and expand access to quality, affordable childcare.
- Helped pass bipartisan legislation to ban members of Congress from trading stocks.
