Davenport, IA – Today, at a rally with veterans in Davenport, Ashley Hinson launched “Veterans for Ashley,” a coalition of more than 100 veterans from across Iowa endorsing her campaign for United States Senate.
“Our veterans are real American heroes, and I’m honored to have their support,” said Ashley Hinson. “In the Senate, I will work with anyone to deliver for our veterans and ensure that they receive the high-quality healthcare and benefits they have earned and deserve. My opponent, Liberal Josh Turek, put his political ambitions ahead of our veterans. He actually skipped the vote to fully fund the Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs to instead attend a fundraiser with a Schumer Super PAC. I will always put our veterans first.”
“As a veteran of the Gulf War and past Commander of VFW Post #9127, I am proud to support Ashley Hinson for U.S. Senate,” said Will Rogers from Des Moines. “If her opponent, Josh Turek, respected the mission of supporting veterans in public office, he would have shown up for the vote to fully fund the Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs. But he didn’t, leaving our veterans behind. This is not the kind of leader I want to see in the United States Senate. We won’t give Turek an undeserved promotion.”

I also find it very offensive that her liberal opponent, Josh Turek, skipped the vote to fully fund the Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs to instead fundraise with a super PAC aligned with Chuck Schumer. Veterans know that Ashley will always have our backs.”
