Marion, IA – Ashley Hinson today released her policy priorities to quickly lower costs and make life more affordable for hardworking Iowans, outlined below. Hinson spoke alongside Story County farmer Dave Struthers and Iowa mom Deb Stoner on the importance of commonsense policies that will make life affordable for Iowans.
Liberal Josh Turek would work with Chuck Schumer and the Radical Left to raise taxes on working families and approve trillions of dollars in wasteful spending that would push costs even higher and squeeze Iowans even more. He would end no tax on tips, overtime, and Social Security, cut the child tax credit in half, and raise taxes on small businesses and family farms and vote with Chuck Schumer to increase taxes to pay for the radical Left’s agenda.
“Iowans are paying the price for Washington’s failures, and they deserve real relief that actually lowers costs. I’ve worked across the aisle to expand access to high-quality childcare, hold Big Health Insurance accountable, and make housing more affordable, and I’ll keep putting Iowa taxpayers first,” said Ashley Hinson. “The last thing families need is Josh Turek in the Senate, where he’d back Chuck Schumer’s liberal agenda. While Turek would end no tax on tips, overtime, and Social Security, I’ll fight to make this tax relief permanent for hardworking Iowans. We have to work together to make life more affordable, but Turek offers more of the same liberal policies that failed Iowans before.”

- Lower gas and diesel prices
- Make year-round E15 the law
- Suspend the state and federal gas tax temporarily
- Pause diesel exports and restore the $1/gallon biodiesel tax credit
- Create a diesel relief program to support farmers and truckers
- Support additional permitting reform to allow for more refining capacity and domestic energy production
