She was one of just seven Republicans to vote for the Lower Food and Fuel Costs Act, a legislative package that included Hinson’s bipartisan PRECISE Act and bipartisan legislation she championed to allow for the sale of E15 year-round.

Ashley has championed Iowa’s biofuels industry and worked across the aisle on legislation to expand the use of biofuels nationwide.

• Amid fuel shortages and rising gas prices, Hinson called for a nationwide waiver to expand the use of biofuels.

Ashley has brought home critical infrastructure investments for Iowa farmers, including $45.1 million in FY22 appropriations legislation for the Navigation and Ecosystem Sustainability Program to upgrade locks and dams along the Upper Mississippi River.
