Marion, IA — A new Fox News story exposed Josh Turek for accepting more than $20,000 in taxpayer-funded per diem benefits while skipping 58% of votes in the 2026 legislative session. Turek even skipped the vote to fund the Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs to attend a fundraiser with a Schumer-aligned Super PAC. Hinson has a 98.8% lifetime voting record since her election to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2020.
Every Iowa reporter should ask Turek why he took per diem when he skipped 58% of votes in the 2026 legislative session. Why should he get a promotion when he isn’t showing up for work?
