Marion, IA – Congresswoman Ashley Hinson launched “Local Leaders for Hinson,” a coalition of mayors, county supervisors, county treasurers, county auditors, and other local elected officials who are backing her campaign for U.S. Senate.
“I’m humbled to have the support of local leaders from across Iowa who want to keep our state moving forward. The best ideas don’t come from Washington — they come from our local communities. I’ve worked with local leaders to turn those ideas into reality, delivering the federal support needed to fund projects that improve everyday life for Iowans,”said Ashley Hinson. “Josh Turek will take his orders from Chuck Schumer and Washington liberals. I’ll answer to Iowans in the U.S. Senate — working with our local leaders to create jobs, strengthen our communities, and lower costs for families, farmers, and small businesses.”
“I always say our greatest asset in West Des Moines is our people. Ashley Hinson was born and raised in West Des Moines and graduated from Valley High School – she is no exception to this,” said Mayor of West Des Moines Russ Trimble. “She’s kind, caring, compassionate, and always works hard to come up with commonsense solutions to improve the lives of Iowans and move our state forward. I’m proud to support Ashley Hinson for U.S. Senate.”
“Government works best when elected officials listen to the people and work to deliver on their promises,” said Hayley Rippel, Benton County Auditor. “It’s why I’m proud to support Ashley Hinson and her bid for the U.S. Senate because I know she will do what’s best for Iowa and deliver real results. From keeping our elections secure to promoting fiscal responsibility, Ashley will be a leader who keeps her promises and brings Iowa common sense to Washington, D.C.”
“As a Guthrie County Supervisor, I’m passionate about making our communities stronger by allocating taxpayer dollars appropriately, cutting taxes when possible, and keeping our local budgets in check,” said Maggie Armstrong, Guthrie County 3rd District Supervisor. “Those are the same values that I know Ashley Hinson will bring to the U.S. Senate. She will work with our local communities to ensure Iowa has a seat at the table when policies are debated and implemented. I’m glad to support Ashley Hinson in her bid for U.S. Senate because she’s a proven leader with a mission to lower costs, cut taxes, and invest in rural Iowa.”
“Every day, my office is entrusted with safeguarding taxpayer dollars, managing public funds responsibly, and making prudent investments under Iowa law,” said Adam Hoffman, Bremer County Treasurer. “Those decisions require discipline, long term thinking, and an understanding that every dollar belongs to the taxpayers, not the government. The same principles should apply in Washington. That is why I am supporting Ashley Hinson in her campaign for U.S. Senate. I know she is a fiscal conservative who understands that taxpayer dollars deserve to be treated with the same care and accountability that local governments are expected to demonstrate every day. She has a proven record of delivering results, standing up for Iowa taxpayers, and opposing the kind of irresponsible spending that threatens our nation’s long term financial stability. We need leaders like Ashley, who understand that fiscal responsibility is not simply a campaign promise, it is a governing principle.”
