Hinson Endorsed by Iowa Farm Bureau

Marion, IA – Today, the Iowa Farm Bureau Political Action Committee endorsed Congresswoman Ashley Hinson for re-election, naming her a Friend of Agriculture.

Iowa farmers work around the clock to feed and fuel the world, navigating rising input costs, supply chain issues, and natural disasters to ensure our food security,” said Congresswoman Ashley Hinson. “From championing our biofuels industry and working to expand access to E15, to empowering farmers with conservation technology and keeping federal regulators off of Iowa farms, I will always fight for our Iowa farmers and our rural economy.”

“We must elect our Friend of Agriculture candidates who are champions for agriculture and the hard-working Iowa families who make their living feeding and fueling the world. The backbone of Iowa’s economy is agriculture with one out of every three private-sector jobs being in agriculture and ag-related industries,” said Appanoose County farmer and IFBF PAC Chair, Danny Furlin.

Background:

Ashley has been a relentless advocate for Iowa agriculture in Congress, working across the aisle to deliver for Iowa farmers.

  • Ashley has championed Iowa’s biofuels industry and worked across the aisle on legislation to expand the use of biofuels nationwide.
  • Ashley has fought back against government overreaches on Iowa farms, introducing the EATS Act to prevent California from regulating how Iowa farmers raise products and fighting the Harris-Biden Administration’s proposed return to Obama-era WOTUS regulations.
  • Ashley has worked across the aisle to empower farmers with conservation tools, leading the bipartisan PRECISE Act that will expand access to precision agriculture technology. Ashley has also led the bipartisan DALCI 2.0 Act to empower farmers and landowners to preserve Iowa’s Driftless Area.
  • Ashley has brought home critical infrastructure investments for Iowa farmers, including $45.1 million for the Navigation and Ecosystem Sustainability Program to upgrade locks and dams along the Upper Mississippi River.
